Civil Marriages in Amalfi
Marriage in Amalfi - The venue
Civil marriages in Amalfi take place in the most ancient marriage hall of the whole Amalfi Coast, in a former Benedectine Monastery facing the sea that dates back to the 12th century. A beautiful courtyard with gardens and impressive columns is a perfect background for beautiful pictures. The interior is very antique with decorations and furnishing of the Maritime Republic of Amalfi.
Civil Ceremony
Civil weddings only. Marriages are performed by the Mayor of Town or Civil registrar. You can add personal vows, readings and poems to the ceremony.
Amalfi town hall decorations
Not necessary, but if requested you can decorate with typical colourful flowers.
Best time for weddings - Days of the week
From April through end of October. During Christmas times is also very recommended. From Monday to Saturday. No Sunday weddings.
USA CITIZENS:
Must arrive in Naples 2 or 3 business days prior the ceremony in order to complete marriage requirements at the US Consulate spend there 1 night and then transfer to Amalfi
CANADIAN, AUSTRALIAN, BRITISH NATIONALS: paperwork can be completed via correspondence and they can arrive in Positano even the day before

A bell is no bell 'til you ring it,
A song is no song 'til you sing it,
And love in your heart
Wasn’t put there to stay -
Love isn’t love
'Til you give it away.
