The ZI'NTONIO Hotel - Restaurant , open all the year, situated opposite Ravello in a beautiful position, commands a view over the valley (360 mt. from the sea-level) and it is surrounded by chestnutgroves, where people can enjoy a really healthy climate.

There are lots of reasons why a stay at this Hotel is to be recommended. Firstly, its location - Scala means 'steps' and if you look closely there are a number of routes to follow up and down steps around the area, which will take you to Amalfi below, or Ravello and Etrani. For the less energetic it's a great place from which to admire the staggering views of the Amalfi coast or across to Ravello itself. Also, because the Hotel is located higher up the cliff face, the air is fresh and cooling even on the hottest days.
Secondly, there is a wonderful pool terrace area wich is kept spotlessly clean. The pool is a good size and is over looked by the bar terrace area where delicious meals are prepared from fresh, locally grown produce, at a reasonable price.
To describe the rooms as luxurious would be misleading, they are comfortable and homely and most have reasonably sized terraces. They are also sensibly priced.
The trump card however is the wonderful welcome and hospitality jovially given by the Del Pizzo family. Their attentiveness always make the stresses and strains of everyday life disappear within hours of arriving.
The Hotel "La Margherita - Villa Giuseppina" are sister hotels just a short distance apart on the main road. La Margherita where we stayed was nearer the centre of Scala, having just a few rooms but a large restaurant renowned for its excellent home coooking - the pasta was wonderful!
The rooms were fairly large with small but modern bathrooms. Best of all was the balcony - we could lie in bed at night with the windows open and have the lights of Ravello across the valley gorge winking at us.

Villa Giuseppina - Scala - 2 Star Property - Scala Hotels
This hotel is the sister property of the Margherita hotel listed above, run by the same family. Situated in the Dragone Valley between Amalfi and Ravello. Open the whole year round. All rooms with private shower, balcony with sea view, Tv, frigo bar, telephone. Air Conditioned in the Superior rooms at the top floor. Large terraces for sunbathing. Swimming - pool and solarium. Family management. Very reasonable prices. Excellent cooking. Own parking ground. Excursion facilities to all tourist and historical centres of the Coast. Several bus connections during the day. The house is situated in a particulary quiet position, away from the traffic noise. It is the right spot for a perfect stay and relaxing holidays.
