There are not as amny Amalfi Hotels as there are Positano Hotels, but there are Enough for you to choose from. Most are in the mid to upper price range.

Hotel Il Saraceno Grand Hotel

The Grand Hotel Il Saraceno is entirely built in the oriental style. It stands overlooking the most enchanting bay of the Amalfi Coast. It has 50 double rooms and 6 suites, all fit up with antique furniture, minibar and colour TV SAT. On the higher level of the hotel are the guest rooms, the Restaurant for the hotel's guests, a large Bar with Terrace, a Romanesque chapel and the congress room. At the centre of the building there is the sea - water swimming - pool. On the beach rises a castle, rebuilt around the ruins of a 11th century fortress. Here are the Beach Bar and a restaurant for banquets seating up to 200 persons.

Finally, a large private beach can be accessed by elevators directly from the higher floors of the hotel. A large parking place for up to 50 cars and air conditioning in all ambients of the hotel are also available.

Hotel Antica Repubblica Amalfi

This hotel was recently refurbished. They serve breakfast on the rooftop terrace, which has stellar views. In a tastefully completely restored antique building, Hotel Antica Repubblica is located directly in the centre of Amalfi, 80 meters from the sea, in a perfect position to discover the beauty of the town and of the entire Amalfi Coast.The hotel offers standard rooms and junior suites with air conditioning, minibar, telephone, safe, satellite TV and internet connection. In the junior suites you can also find four-poster beds and idromassage.

Hotel Centrale

From this hotel there are wonderful views of the cathedral. This hotel was also refurbished recently.Hotel Centrale, is true to it�s name. It is on the main piazza directly across from the duomo, just feet away from the harbor and surrounded by cafes, restaurants, gelaterias and shops.

This three star hotel completely renovated in 2002 is situated in a historical building right in the center of the town of Amalfi. From here you have an unrivalled view of the Cathedral. Here in Amalfi hospitality is an ancient tradition, precious for the Amalfi people and they continue this tradition offering a comfortable stay in a historical building but which has all the modern comforts

Breakfast is a magic moment at Hotel Centrale, served on the wide terrace from where you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view. Just in front the steps of the Duomo and the sea, the breakfast is continental and is included in the price. They can organize private transfers with an outside company, and they have an agreement for private parking for guests who come with car.

Hotel Lidomare

Lidomare Hotel is a small comfortable hotel not far from the seaside. It is situated in a characteristic square (Largo Piccolomini) with entrance from Piazza Duomo (Cathedral Square).It still keeps its ancient structure going back to 1300, with its large rooms which give the house an "old time" touch. The Cameras, who own and run the hotel assure their guests a hearty and a constant hospitality.All the fifteen rooms are equipped with private bathrooms and/or showers, satellite TV, safes, air conditioning, frigobar, direct phone, central heating, Jacuzzi tab, shower with jets.

Hotel Luna Convento

this hotel was a former convent founded by St. Francis in 1222 and has been a hotel for about 170 years. The rooms in the original building are former monks cells-they have balconies and sea views. the newer part has religious frescoes over the bed. There are 2 restaurants and a sea level swimming pool.

Hotel Santa Caterina

This hotel is in a small piazza where a covered passage way takes you to the piazza Del Duomo. The irish pub next door does get quite loud on Saturday nights. The five-star Hotel Santa Caterina, a magnificent property surrounded by terraces and gardens, stands on one of the most marvelous stretches of the breathtaking coastline. It ws built during the early part of this century but has been totally modernized. It offers telephones, color television and air-conditioning in all 70 or the exquisitely furnished rooms and suites. The two elevators connect the hotel with a swimming pool and a private beach. The dining room which offers superb food and service, has a panoramic view of the sea.

Hotel Amalfi - 3 star hotel

The Hotel Amalfi, is ideal located in the centre of Amalfi, 5 minutes walking from the habour and the SITA-bus-station. Del Duca Hotel - 3 Star Hotel

The Residenza del Duca is located in an ancient palace which, already in 954, was part of a hospitium domorum',a group of houses that bellowed to one aristocratic family.

Restoration works have been carried out carefully, keeping the typical XVII and XVIII century architecture represented respectively by the chestnut wood beaming ceiling and cloister and vaulted ceiling.

Each room has a balcony or equipped terrace with sea-view or overlooking on a small square, the unique example of Medieval urban architecture in Amalfi. This square,even today it is called Piazza dei Dogi, in honour of the dukes that ruled the Marine Republic from 957 to 1131.In 1398 in Piazza dei Dogi there was the palace of the feudatory Dukes of Amalfi: the Duchess Giovanna d'Aragona Piccolomini fell desperately in love with her servant Antonio Bologna. Their love story inspired a tale by Brandello and theatre plays by Lope de Vega and Webster.

Hotel Aurora - 3 Star Hotel
